Apple and HTC End The Patent Dispute by Signing A 10 Year Licensing Agreement

Apple and HTC have solved their patent dispute by singing a 10 year long world-wide licensing agreement on all current and future patents.

Though currently unknown which company initiated the agreement both parties agree that this will have no adverse impact on the financials of the companies.

Originally started by Apple back in 2010 the lawsuits were fired back and forth going so far as HTC to attempt the ban on all Apple devices in America.

Tim Cook (CEO of Apple) was quoted as saying:

“We are glad to reach a settlement with HTC. We will continue to stay laser focused on product innovation.”

In contrast, last week Apple was fined $368.2 million after being found guilty of infringing patents held by security networking firm VirnetX.
