Consumer reports have completed their annual ranking of the best and worst cell phone carriers, and after 63,000 responses AT&T is the worst in the nation. It’s the second year in a row that AT&T has received the lowest score from consumers based on the carrier’s performance in voice, text messaging, and data services. While Verizon got the top spot, as predicted.
Three smaller companies actually scored higher than Verizon for customer satisfaction: Consumer Cellular, U.S. Cellular and Credo Mobile. Even though AT&T came in last according to their performance in voice, texts, and data services, they did receive the number one position in the best carrier for the 4G LTE network, and was rated as the best with fewest problems.
According to Mike Gikas, senior electronics editor at Consumer Reports “AT&T has been a basement dweller for several years now. A lot of people are unhappy with the service, except 4G customers. They seem to like the service from AT&T”
