Yahoo! has decided to give its services a much needed makeover.
This is the latest in a series of changes Yahoo has undergone since their adoption of Google exec Marissa Mayer as CEO in 2012. The company heads are taking steps towards making Yahoo! relevant to users again, such as removing their Message Boards website and their very dated-looking avatars (above photo). In the new campaign, Yahoo plans to utilize its newly acquired Pinterest look-alike Snip.it while keeping its more popular services Flickr and Yahoo! Mail afloat. Y! will also trim their apps from the current 60 or 70 down to about a dozen.
I’ll gladly advocate any postponement of Google’s new world order, though Gmail may be the best thing since sliced bread. We’re rootin’ for ya, Yahoo!
